In general, however, there are many psychology journals that publish research articles, review papers, and other content related to the field of psychology. Our journals focus on subfields related to psychology, such as developmental psychology, social psychology, or clinical psychology, or they may have a broader focus.
We wholeheartedly support the free open access publishing movement. We believe that knowledge should be freely accessible to all individuals, regardless of their financial or institutional affiliations. By endorsing and actively engaging with open access publishing, we contribute to a more inclusive and equitable dissemination of scholarly research.
Open access publishing allows for the widespread sharing of knowledge, breaking down barriers that restrict access to information. It enables researchers, students, policymakers, and the general public to freely access and utilize the latest research findings, fostering innovation, collaboration, and societal progress.
By supporting open access, we promote transparency and accountability in the scientific community. Open access journals typically employ rigorous peer review processes, ensuring the quality and validity of published research. This commitment to high standards strengthens the credibility and impact of scientific work.
Moreover, the free open access publishing movement aligns with the principles of open science, which emphasize transparency, reproducibility, and the sharing of research data. By making research articles freely available, we encourage the exchange of ideas, facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations, and push the boundaries of knowledge.
The Free Open Access (FOA) movement holds immense potential in combating predatory publishing practices. Predatory publishers exploit researchers by charging exorbitant fees, promising quick publication without proper peer review, and often publishing low-quality or even fraudulent research. By promoting open access, the FOA movement offers a viable alternative to predatory publishing. Open access journals that abide by rigorous peer review processes and transparent publishing standards provide researchers with trustworthy platforms to disseminate their work. The principles of openness, transparency, and accessibility intrinsic to the FOA movement help researchers make informed decisions about where to publish, reducing the risk of falling victim to predatory publishers. As more researchers and institutions support and embrace open access, the prevalence of predatory publishing practices can be significantly diminished, ensuring that quality research is accessible to all without exploitation.
We have listed our basic publishing principles and briefly explained how we will achieve this:
Publishing in a psychology journal can be an important way for researchers to disseminate their findings and contribute to the advancement of the field. Journals typically have rigorous standards for publication, including peer review by experts in the field, and can help to ensure that research is of high quality and has important implications for theory and practice.
We have determined several publishing principles.
-Reviewer names should be transparent.
-Publishing should be free of charge. If authors request they can demand copyediting services.
-We focus on early dissemination of knowledge. We promote preprint use.
